Between closures, the implementation of remote work, and successive lockdowns, it was a major leap into the unknown. The ability to adapt quickly in order to keep working was vital for companies to \"survive\" and limit revenue loss. Despite everything, franchising remains a source of job creation: 6 out of 10 franchisees have created at least one job.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"translation-block\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The advantages of being part of a franchise network rather than an independent business became clear for 67% of franchisees, who believe they were better able to handle the coronavirus crisis, particularly thanks to the support measures provided by franchisors. These measures included more regular communication (87%), the introduction of new digital tools (58%), the development of new services for customers (44%), and more frequent meetings with other franchisees in the network (42%).<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<span data-contrast=\"auto\">During this period, an intensification of communication within networks was observed. This was reflected in at least one visit from a network manager (in 91% of cases). In addition to the measures implemented by the network headquarters, 86% of franchisees introduced specific activities to better adapt to the crisis. Following the deployment of all these actions, one in two franchisees observed a positive impact on their business.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0Franchisees are therefore satisfied with the franchise model, and 90% of them would recommend it. Indeed, nearly one-third of them wish to start their own business, and 40% are drawn to the independence and security offered by the franchise model. It is worth noting that 72% of franchisees were employees before choosing entrepreneurship, 49% have a high school diploma or less, and 54% hold a degree equivalent to two years of higher education or more.<\/p><p>Trust is key, as seniority plays an important role \u2014 6 out of 10 franchisees joined their network 10 years ago or more.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div 400;\">With the coronavirus crisis, an extraordinary acceleration of business digitalization took place. In fact, 97% of franchisees now use the concept of exponential phygital growth through the \u201cWeb to store,\u201d meaning that customers research products or services online and then make their purchases in physical stores.<\/div><div style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/div><div style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the same vein, \u201cClick &amp; Collect,\u201d defined as the act of purchasing online and picking up the product in a physical store, has been implemented in 42% of sales outlets. It is worth noting that 21% of French consumers used this concept for the first time during the coronavirus crisis. More than half of the French population would like their local shops to offer the option of online purchasing.<\/div><div style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/div><div style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Contactless payment also expanded during this crisis (79% of franchises offer contactless payment), as well as all forms of digital payment methods in stores, such as smartphone payments (69% of franchises offer this type of payment).<\/div><div style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/div><div style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Digital communication is now central, and companies are increasingly present on social media.<\/div><div style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Indeed, franchises are active on at least one social network in 77% of cases and are supported by their franchisors in managing social media in 7 out of 10 cases.<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-00b5ba1 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"00b5ba1\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Franchisees are committed to the local economy<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0fc165e elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"0fc165e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Franchising is an important factor in the development of the local economy. Attentive to the consumption habits of the French \u2014 for whom fair trade and local commerce have become essential \u2014 3 out of 4 franchisees have decided to set up in their own region and work with local partners.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Indeed, they aim to meet the needs of French consumers who favor shopping at businesses that support local production (66%) and proximity commerce (74%). Short supply chains are highly valued by these consumers, who seek more responsible purchasing options.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To face this unprecedented crisis, 44% of franchisees implemented solidarity initiatives. 63% of these involved franchisees in the food sector.<\/p><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1388e97 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"1388e97\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Franchisees invest in the franchise model\u00a0<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-dcf092a elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"dcf092a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\" class=\"translation-block\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">When creating a franchise, the two main professions most frequently consulted for project support are accountants <span style=\"font-family: Lato, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-style: normal;font-weight: 400\">and chartered accountants<\/span> (70%), followed by banks (in 58% of cases).<\/span><\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\" class=\"translation-block\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The franchise model is highly popular and enjoys great success among franchisees, as 79% of them wish to renew their contract.<br>Nearly one-third of franchisees want to expand within the same network, and 26% of franchisees operate multiple locations under the same brand.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Women seem more convinced by this model than men, as 85% of them renew their contract compared to 76% of men.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Franchisees remain optimistic about the future of franchising. 45% of them are considering making investments within the next two years.<\/p><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-daf5d68 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"daf5d68\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">The main areas of investment<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4d38d72 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"4d38d72\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The purchase of equipment <strong>(77%)<\/strong><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Renovation work <strong>(67%)<\/strong><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">New technologies <strong>(31%)<\/strong><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Communication tools <strong>(30%)<\/strong><\/li><\/ul><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To conclude this survey, we can affirm that the franchise model continues to be highly valued by both industry players and entrepreneurs.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is due, among other things, to its reassuring and secure nature, as well as to the reputation of the various networks. Franchising guarantees a certain level of support through continuous training, assistance, and the provision of services and tools. De fait, entre les fermetures, l\u2019instauration du t\u00e9l\u00e9travail et l&rsquo;encha\u00eenement des diff\u00e9rents confinements, ce fut un grand saut vers l\u2019inconnue. Une facult\u00e9 d&rsquo;adaptation rapide afin de pouvoir continuer \u00e0 travailler \u00e9tait plus que vitale pour les entreprises, afin de \u00ab\u00a0survivre\u00a0\u00bb et de limiter la perte de chiffre d&rsquo;affaires. Ces mesures se sont traduites par\u00a0 des communications plus r\u00e9guli\u00e8res (87%), la mise \u00e0 disposition de nouveaux outils digitaux (58%), le d\u00e9veloppement de nouveaux services pour les clients (44%)ou encore par des r\u00e9unions plus fr\u00e9quentes avec les autres franchis\u00e9s du r\u00e9seau (42%). \u00a0Au cours de cette p\u00e9riode, une intensification des \u00e9changes, au sein des r\u00e9seaux, a \u00e9t\u00e9 constat\u00e9e. Cela s&rsquo;est notamment traduit par au moins une visite d&rsquo;un animateur de r\u00e9seau (91% des cas).\u00a0 En addition aux mesures d\u00e9ploy\u00e9es par la t\u00eate de r\u00e9seau, 86 % des franchis\u00e9s ont mis en place des activit\u00e9s sp\u00e9cifiques afin de s&rsquo;adapter au mieux \u00e0 la crise.\u00a0 Suite au d\u00e9ploiement de toutes ces actions, un franchis\u00e9 sur deux a constat\u00e9 un impact positif sur son activit\u00e9.\u00a0 \u00a0Les franchis\u00e9s sont donc satisfaits du mod\u00e8le de la franchise et 90% d\u2019entre eux le recommandent.\u00a0 Le fait de ne pas se retrouver livr\u00e9 \u00e0 soi-m\u00eame durant une crise et \u00eatre accompagn\u00e9 est r\u00e9v\u00e9lateur du b\u00e9n\u00e9fice d\u2019\u00eatre en r\u00e9seau de franchise.\u00a0 Qui sont les franchis\u00e9s ?\u00a0 Le monde de l&rsquo;entrepreneuriat attire de plus en plus les Fran\u00e7ais. En effet, pr\u00e8s d&rsquo;un tiers d&rsquo;entre eux souhaite cr\u00e9er leur entreprise et 40% sont int\u00e9ress\u00e9s par l&rsquo;ind\u00e9pendance ainsi que\u00a0 l&rsquo;aspect s\u00e9curitaire que propose le mod\u00e8le de la franchise. Il est int\u00e9ressant de souligner que 72% des franchis\u00e9s \u00e9taient salari\u00e9s avant le choix de l&rsquo;entrepreneuriat, 49% d&rsquo;entre eux ont un dipl\u00f4me de niveau Bac ou moins, et 54% ont un niveau de dipl\u00f4me Bac +2 ou plus. Plus de la moiti\u00e9 des fran\u00e7ais aimeraient que leurs commerces de proximit\u00e9 donnent la possibilit\u00e9 d&rsquo;effectuer les achats en ligne.\u00a0Le sans contact s&rsquo;est \u00e9galement d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 pendant cette crise (79% des franchises proposent le paiement sans contact)\u00a0 ainsi que toute les formes de d\u00e9mat\u00e9rialisation des moyens de paiement en magasin, comme le paiement avec le smartphone. (69% des franchises proposent ce type de paiement.)\u00a0La communication digitale est centrale de nos jours et les entreprises sont de plus en plus pr\u00e9sentes sur les r\u00e9seaux sociaux.En effet, les franchises sont actives sur un r\u00e9seau social dans 77% des cas et sont aid\u00e9es par leurs franchiseurs pour l&rsquo;animation du r\u00e9seau social dans 7 cas sur 10. Les franchis\u00e9s s&rsquo;engagent dans l&rsquo;\u00e9conomie locale La franchise est un \u00e9l\u00e9ment important pour le d\u00e9veloppement de l&rsquo;\u00e9conomie locale. Soucieux des modes de consommations des Fran\u00e7ais, pour qui le commerce \u00e9quitable et de proximit\u00e9 deviennent des \u00e9l\u00e9ment essentiels, 3 franchis\u00e9s sur 4 ont pris la d\u00e9cision de s&rsquo;implanter dans leur propre r\u00e9gion et de travailler avec des acteurs locaux.
